Terms of Service

Welcome to PastorAI. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them. They are written in plain English on purpose.

1. About the service

PastorAI is a set of AI-powered tools for sermon preparation, Bible study planning, devotional writing, social media content, and children's ministry lessons. The service is operated by James (the "operator").

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for any activity that happens under your account. Please don't share your account with others.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• PastorAI is sold as a single subscription plan at $47 per month.
• Subscriptions are billed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
• If a free trial is offered, a valid payment method is required to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period.
• You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future charges. The current billing period is not refunded; you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Prices may change. We will give you advance notice by email before any change takes effect for your subscription.

4. Free demo usage

The public demo on the homepage is free, but limited to 15 generations per email address. We may adjust this limit or restrict abuse at our discretion.

5. AI-generated content

The tools in PastorAI produce content using artificial intelligence. AI output is a starting point, not a finished product, and it is not infallible. You are responsible for reviewing what the tools produce before you preach it, teach it, or publish it. In particular:

• Verify scripture references. AI can sometimes misquote or misattribute verses.
• Apply your own theological judgment. PastorAI is a writing aid, not a theological authority or a substitute for prayer and study.
• Use discernment. Do not use the output in ways that would be inappropriate for your congregation or denomination.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and the outputs generated for you. You can use the outputs in your ministry, teaching, writing, and other lawful purposes.

We retain ownership of the PastorAI platform, code, design, and brand. We may use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or to produce harmful, hateful, harassing, or deceptive content.
• Attempt to break, disable, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Resell or redistribute access to the service.
• Use the service to impersonate another person or organization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Service availability

We work to keep PastorAI running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, pause, or discontinue features as the product evolves.

9. Third-party services

PastorAI relies on third-party services (currently Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, and Vercel). If one of those services is unavailable, PastorAI may be unavailable too. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PastorAI's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Termination

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. We can suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, for non-payment, or if we discontinue the service.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
