Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PastorAI (the "Service"), provided by Pastor AI LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

PastorAI is an AI-assisted tool that helps pastors and ministry leaders organize, format, draft, and prepare ministry resources such as sermon outlines, Bible-study materials, devotionals, discipleship materials, prayer guides, translations, and delivery-rehearsal feedback. The Service assists with preparation and administration; it does not provide spiritual counsel or authoritative religious teaching (see Section 6).

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions, free trial, billing, and cancellation

• Free trial: PastorAI offers a 14-day free trial for new users via pastorai.io. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and applicable charges apply, as disclosed at sign-up.
• Purchase channels: subscriptions may be purchased on the web (via Stripe) or as an in-app purchase through Apple or Google. The channel you use determines who bills you and how you manage or cancel.
• Auto-renewal: paid subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current price for the applicable period unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Refunds: Subscriptions are billed through Apple, Google, or Stripe; cancel anytime before the 14-day free trial converts. No refunds after a charge, except where required by law.
• Cancellation:
  • Web (Stripe): manage or cancel in your pastorai.io account settings.
  • Apple / Google in-app purchases: manage, cancel, and request refunds through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, subject to those stores' policies. We cannot directly refund store-processed purchases.
• Price changes: we may change subscription prices prospectively; we will give notice as required, and changes apply to the next renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or to violate the rights of others;
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
• Use the Service to generate unlawful, harmful, harassing, deceptive, or abusive material.

7. Your Content and license

• You own Your Content. We do not claim ownership of the content you submit.
• You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including sending relevant portions to our AI subprocessor (Anthropic) to generate your requested output. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for residual backups retained for a limited period or as required by law.
• You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights necessary to submit it.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you to use the Service, we reserve all rights. You may not use our names, logos, or trademarks without our prior written permission.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (Anthropic, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, RevenueCat, Apple, Google). Your use may also be subject to those parties' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see our data deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Greene County, Missouri, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
